We are here!

Vacation time!! We are here. Disneyland time with Greg's family.

Day 1.

We finished packing this morning and left for the airport. I had a list of things to bring and I was reading it. Owen knew what the list said and grabbed a pen and said he wanted to make his own list. He said, "Ok, mom, I am making a list of the things we need: owl, clothes, airplane, airport, mommy and daddy." He is so practical. I should take packing lessons from him, bring the things that matter.

Snacks and bags and lunch - we were off to the airport. I only forgot my red umbrella stroller. We made our way to the airport and met up with Kati and Ryan. The plane ride was easy. No sickness and throwing up by Owen (or me for that matter). The man in front of me complimented me on my mothering skills. He said it was refreshing to see our interaction. That was nice to hear.

The plane landed without incident and we were off for the rental car. Picked up the car, turned on Greg's beloved navigation system on his phone and we were off to Target for a new stroller and some water. Found Target, bought more things than we went in for (milk, cereal, bowls, spoons, and a milky way for me). Back to the car to find hotel. We find hotel and other family members and now we are settled. Owen loves the hotel. We have two beds, Owen promptly ordered Greg to his own bed and himself and me in the other. I think we are all happy. More room for Owen and I and Greg won't be kicked in the ribs all night. This will work.

Tomorrow is Disneyland. Friday is California Adventure. Saturday is Sea World. Sunday is beach day. Monday is back to home. Hooray for a vacation to Disneyland.
