I need a Chair

Have you ever had one of those days when you can't pull it together? I am having one of those today.

We found pajamas out of laundry baskets. Owen ate chicken dinosaurs for dinner tonight at 10:00 pm. Owen made his own dinner. I fed Ivy bread for lunch cause I was busy looking at pictures on the computer. Owen is asleep on my lap, I have the Bachelorette on in the background and I am not sure why, Ivy is asleep on Greg's lap, Greg is asleep on the couch. I ate a banana with peanut butter and 5 Oreos for dinner. The same clothes sat in the washer for 2 days and had to be washed again tonight. The house is a mess.

Tonight I want to watch different shows, eat different food, decorate my house with a little more life, play a little more with Owen, wear different clothes. I have an itch for change.

I am not sure what the answer is yet. I feel a change is necessary. Maybe a small change, like taking control of my life and refusing to watch the Bachelorette. Maybe a little bigger like a bunch of new clothes. Maybe just getting rid of the ones I don't wear. Maybe a crazy fun chair for the living room and doing the playroom I have promised Owen. Something. Something is in the air.

Not for Me

If you were to walk into my house last week you would smell Italian beef slow cooking.

At first you may think, “That is nice of Jen to make dinner for Greg.” Or for some, perhaps your first thought would be, “Jen makes dinner?”

Well some would be right, some would be wrong... Jen was not making dinner for Greg and no, Jen does not make dinner (at least not very often).

So the next logical thought would be, “That is nice of Greg to make dinner for Jen.”  Or others may think, “Jen eats Italian beef?”

Again, some would be right, others wrong…Greg was not making dinner for Jen and NO, Jen does not eat Italian beef.

So what was going on here you may wonder.  I will tell you.

Greg was making dinner for this guy…

Greg’s dear friend Steve.

While we were teaching yoga, the boys and the babies got together for Italian beef sandwiches.

So next time when you come into my house and smell something in the slow cooker, expect to see Steve and Evan knocking at the door within a few hours.

A New Day

I am over that bad day at the top of the blog. Time for something new.

Like for example, the fact that I made zucchini bread with flaxseed instead of eggs. Yes, it is true, 1 Tbs of flaxseed plus 3 Tbs of water = 1 egg. I was a little worried, but to my amazement it worked and it was delicious! Ivy and I could eat it and we loved it.

Yes....It is time to move on.
